Parking Permit Required at Wildlife Area

FERN RIDGE, Ore. — As of Jan. 1, visitors heading to any of the ODFW wildlife areas will be required to have a parking permit.

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife says daily permits are $7 and annual permits are $22.

The permits must be bought from any of the nine wildlife areas and should be displayed on your car’s dashboard.

For people who have an annual Oregon hunting license, a free parking pass will be issued to you.

ODFW says revenue from the parking permits will be used to improve habitat and infrastructure and to enhance wildlife viewing opportunities.
