Crews have closed the street off between Western Boulevard and Jefferson Avenue. They’re working on putting up a traffic light near the railroad tracks, which pedestrians say is worth the construction.
“Once the construction is done, it will be a lot better,” said pedestrian Blake Wright.
“I think it was really difficult to drive and maneuver around, especially if you were turning because it was kind of dangerous for pedestrians too because it was just kind of a convoluted area,” said pedestrian Marlie Magill.
The construction should be done by early September.
