ROSEBURG, Ore. — Part of the North Umpqua River will be closed to rafters and fishermen next week due to bridge construction.
The Bureau of Land Management says rafting and floating will not be allowed from Susan Creek put-in to Baker Wayside from August 20-25. During that time, crews will be using a crane to set the Tioga Bridge, 28 miles east of Roseburg.
Fly-fishing will also be restricted 200 yards up and down stream of the bridge construction site.
ODOT says drivers can expect delays on Highway 138 to last 20-30 minutes during the bridge setting.
