PeaceHealth Faces Financial Struggles

EUGENE, Ore. — Lane County’s largest health provider is bracing for major cuts.

PeaceHealth says it needs to find a way to fill a $130 million gap for the 2014 fiscal year.

It’s suspending hiring immediately for open positions and reviewing them on a case by case basis.

PeaceHealth’s president issued a statement today saying “they’re facing the matter head on, but it’s not a unique case.”
