EUGENE, Ore. — A fatal vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash shut down the northbound lane of the Ferry St. Bridge in Eugene for several hours Wednesday night.
Eugene Police Department and medics responded to the call of an accident just after 10 p.m. on Wednesday. According to police, a truck was heading northbound over the bridge when it struck a pedestrian crossing the bridge. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said alcohol appeared to be a factor in the incident.
