Update: Pedestrian Dies in I-5 Crash

ROSEBURG, Ore. — A pedestrian died in a crash on I-5 south about two miles south of Roseburg.

The crashed happened along the southbound lanes of I-5 around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday near the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

According to Oregon State Police, 34-year-old Everest McDonald from Days Creek, was hit by a car when he ran from the freeway shoulder into traffic. He was then hit by a second vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Oregon State Police are continuing the investigation.
