EUGENE, Ore. — A woman was struck by a Ford truck while walking near the intersection of 8th Avenue and Willamette Street Friday morning. The crash happened around 8 a.m.
Police say the pedestrian appeared to be in her 40s. She was conscious when emergency crews arrived, but was taken to the hospital with injuries to her head.
West 8th Avenue is closed while crews investigate the scene. The driver of the truck remained on scene and is cooperating with police.
