EUGENE, Ore. — Police are investigating a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash that happened on I-105 westbound Tuesday evening.
Witnesses told police they saw a woman run across the eastbound lanes of I-105 and then into the westbound lanes of I-105. One person says the driver tried to avoid hitting her but couldn’t and ended up striking the woman.
Police don’t know the extent of the victim’s injuries but say they’re likely severe. The victim has been transported to the hospital while police continue interviewing witnesses.
EPD is asking drivers to avoid the area while they conduct their investigation.
