EUGENE, Ore. — A pedestrian hit by a pickup truck on I-105 earlier this week is expected to survive her ordeal.
Sylvia Titus was struck as she tried to cross the road during heavy traffic.
Police say that the driver, Shanel Presley, administered CPR at the scene until responders arrived.
Titus’ condition is improving, and police say that her case shows the importance of first aid and CPR.
