Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Eugene

eugene airport landingEUGENE, Ore. — An emergency landing at the Eugene airport Thursday afternoon.

Alaska Airlines says the plane oven was overheating and began to emit smoke. As a safety precaution, the pilots were forced to do an emergency landing at about 2 p.m.

All 122 passengers and their luggage were moved off the flight. A new plane came to get the stranded travelers.

It’s scheduled to take off for its final destination–Seattle, Washington–Thursday evening.
