Meteorologist Melissa Frey’s Forecast Discussion

We’ve had six straight days in the 90s and now its back to the 80s

The ridge of high pressure that has been over us all week is slowly weakening and moving south. At the same time our jet stream is leveling out and will return to a more on-shore pattern for the remainder of the week. With the lack of large ridges in troughs in the overall patter, our temperatures will become more moderate in the coming week.

The Fourth of July we’ll drop to the low to mid 80s. It’ll still be sunny and also a bit breezy. Winds will be from the north at 10-20 mph

The marine layer will return Friday which will keep us cloudy for the first few hours of the day. Highs will drop to the upper 70s.

Full sunshine returns for the weekend and early next week which will help temps return to the mid to upper 80s through Wednesday.

Have a great Fourth of July!
