Meteorologist Marisa Woloszyn’s Forecast Discussion:

Saturday starts with the next front to move through the area. Showers will start along the coast around 5 a.m. and the inland areas around daybreak. The heaviest and most widespread showers will be during the second half of the day. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the Cascade Mountains above 2000 feet; areas can expect 4-8″ of new snow.

A stronger system will move through Sunday night into Monday. Expect heavy rain and snow showers above 2000 feet. Strong winds will be on the back side of the system and a high wind warning will mostly likely be issued for the period.

The forecast period continues to be showery as a series of systems move through. High temperatures remain in the mid 40s with lows in the mid 30s.

Have a wonderful, wintery weekend!
