EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon State Police is investigating a serious-injury crash on I-5 south of Eugene.
Troopers responded to the crash just before 5 a.m. Saturday. An SUV and truck were blocking the northbound lanes of I-5 near milepost 190. When troopers arrived, they found an overturned Jeep with marijuana spilling out on to the road.
The Jeep’s driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Passenger Anthony Pitts of Fort Jones, California received minor injuries.
Police say they found over three pounds of marijuana at the scene. Pitts was cited for unlawful possession of marijuana.
