EUGENE, Ore. — Residents in the Bethel area are invited to a community meeting Wednesday to discuss neighborhood safety issues.
The Eugene Police Department says there’s been an increase in property crimes and suspicious behavior in the Bethel School District area.
As a result, it’s working to teach residents ways they can stay safe by going door-to-door to talk with neighbors and distributing safety information.
The department will also discuss these tips and other safety issues at a community meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at Fairfield Elementary School, located at 3455 Royal Avenue. The meeting starts at 7 p.m.
