Police Investigate OSU Bomb Threat

OSU DormCORVALLIS, Ore. — Oregon State Police is asking for help figuring out who made a bomb threat on Oregon State University’s campus Thursday night.

All of the dorms on campus were evacuated for several hours.

The OSU Department of Public Safety says someone called around 7:15 p.m., saying there was a bomb in one of the residence halls. Investigators did not find anything suspicious.

“It was an inconvenient time because of midterms,” said OSU student Drew Standish.

“I was supposed to be studying for a midterm because I had a midterm at 8:30, and then the fire alarm went off and we were evacuated,”┬ásaid OSU student Reena Patel. “And a lot of students didn’t have their stuff for their midterms.”

Some examinations were re-scheduled because of the threat.

If you have any information, you’re asked to call the OSU Department of Public Safety at (541) 737-7000.
