COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. — Police were on the scene all night at a Cottage Grove home belonging to the ex-boyfriend of a missing woman. Investigators have yet to release many details.
Crime tape is still up, closing off several homes on the 1400 block of Birch Street, which is near downtown Cottage Grove.
Early Wednesday morning, three officers are keeping an eye on the three-block area. They are staying very tight lipped until they get a search warrant, which is expected later Wednesday morning.
The daughter of a missing Beaverton woman told KEZI 9 News the house inside the perimeter is the home of her mother’s former boyfriend David Bowen.
Tammy Borda was last seen in Cottage Grove on Dec. 2. Police say she spent time with bowen before her disappearance. Borda’s daughter says she’s concerned because her mom is disabled. She can’t drive and walks with limp, and she believes it is out of character for her mother to just leave.
Borda’s daughter says police haven’t told her anything about the investigation, but an officer told KEZI 9 News that Bowen is cooperating in the search.
UPDATE (9:20 a.m.): The OSP Forensics Team is now inside the house conducting a search.
