5 lbs. of Heroin Seized in Traffic Stop

MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. — A California man was arrested after police found more than five pounds of heroin in his car.

Around 2 p.m. Tuesday, Myrtle Creek Police stopped a Nissan Maxima traveling northbound on 1-5 near mile post 111. Police searched the vehicle and found the heroin, which has an estimated value of $150,000.

Luis Alfredo Barajas, 26, of San Jacinto, California was arrested and taken to the Douglas County Jail. He faces charges of unlawful distribution of Heroin and unlawful possession of Heroin.
