How to Recycle After Christmas

video preview image

EUGENE, Ore. — You’ve opened all those presents, but now what do you do with the leftover wrapping paper and boxes?

Lane Apex recycling says most wrapping paper is recyclable as well as anything cardboard. Some wrapping paper with foil in it may not be recyclable. And if you’re looking to get rid of your tree, there are a couple of options.

Lane Apex Manager Sam Mill says that during the third week in January they will pick up trees for a $10 charge.

But there are several area charities that will do it for a small donation. The 20-30 Club of Eugene will pick up trees January 4 and 5. Boy Scout Troop 182 will pick up trees anytime through January 20. The Scouts cover Eugene, Springfield, Veneta, Harrisburg and Junction City.
