Update: Corvallis Power Outage

CORVALLIS, Ore. —  Nearly 6,000 customers are still without power in northwest Corvallis. The power outage started Tuesday around 10:44 a.m. and initially cause 10,864 customers to lose power from 9th Street to 43rd Street.

Streetlights were reported out along West 11th Street, 23rd Street, Garfield Road and Harrison Road. The outage is affecting both residential and business areas.

Pacific Power says the outage is due to a substation interruption and crews are working to replace fuses, insulators and transformers. It says power should be restored by 7:00 p.m.
