Practice for “Thriller” Dance Downtown

EUGENE, Ore. — Halloween is still two months away but a group is already practicing for a zombie-themed dance.

“Thrill the World Eugene” had practice on Sunday afternoon for the second annual “Thriller” dance in downtown Eugene.

Groups do this all over the world on one day and it’s just for fun and free.

Practices are Wednesdays from 7pm-9pm and also Sunday from 12pm-2pm at the Downtown Athletic Club.

“It brings together a very kleptic mix of people from Eugene, all ages. I think our youngest was four and oldest was 75 last year,” said Margo Jennings, co-organizer of the dance.

Jennings says all ages are welcome.

The final dance will be October 26 at Kesey Square.
