EUGENE, Ore. – The Eugene Police Department is asking for the public’s help for an upcoming event. EPD is helping to organize the Princess for a Day event.
Police say it’s a way to help empower girls who are vulnerable in society.
“It’s nice once in a while to just feel like somebody out there cares, and I think this is one of those easy things you can do to show somebody you care about them that we know they’re out there and we want them to feel special for a day,” said Sgt. Kris Martes, Eugene Police Department.
EPD is looking for donations that would fit for girls ages 2-18 years. Donations are being collected at the police department, located at 300 Country Club Rd., until March 1 at 12 p.m.
