Chief Meteorologist Justin Stapleton‘s Daily Forecast Discussion:
A fast approaching cold front will bring some light showers through the region early Friday. None of the showers will be heavy but we will likely see some areas of drizzle with overcast skies through this morning.
The front zips through quickly today, what starts as a cloudy day with slowly break up to mostly sunny skies by the afternoon. Both minor league baseball teams are in town, Ems at PK at 7:05p and the Corvallis Knights with first pitch at 6:35p.
Heading into the weekend, high pressure starts to grab hold of the forecast again through the weekend and it’s very good timing as Saturday is the official kickoff of summer. Sunny skies with highs back into the mid to upper 70s for both Saturday and Sunday. Early next week also starts sunny and warm, but indications are another front moving through around midweek with some light showers likely on Thursday.
Have a great Friday!
