Chief Meteorologist Justin Stapleton‘s Daily Forecast Discussion:
I hope you got a chance to enjoy the sunny Easter and earlier today because a series of storms will roll across the state bringing plenty of April showers for most of the next 7 days. Tonight, scattered showers will move through the overnight hours and into Tuesday morning. Lows tonight will fall into the mid 40s.
Cold air spills in most of the day Tuesday and another storm will move through. That will bring snow lines down to around 3000 feet with light accumulating snow of 1-3″ by late Tuesday. Elsewhere, it’s plenty of showers starting Tuesday for the next couple of days. Midweek, a couple of stronger systems will bring heavy rain both Wednesday and Thursday. The coast will be very breezy with some hefty waves crashing at the beaches and jetties. The cool air will also be sticking around, so prepare for highs only in the mid 50s over the next 4-5 days.
There might be a slight break in the action by Friday and Saturday but any lapses in rain showers will be short, as more systems will move through Sat. night, Sunday and then again into early next week. Highs by the weekend will be back up into the low to mid 60s.
Have a great Monday night!
