METEOROLOGIST MELISSA FREY’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
With just five full days left in winter the countdown to spring is on! Ironically though, rather than becoming more spring-like, we’ll become more winter-like this week.
The first of three fronts will roll into town tonight. Isolated showers can be expected in western Oregon around dinner time and during the overnight hours. This first storm won’t do much more than bring back the clouds, a few rain drops and slightly cooler temperatures. The valley should still make it to the upper 50s and low 60s Thursday.
Most of Friday will stay dry between storms, but we’ll see another cold front move in on Saturday. This will bring in another round of showers and drop our temperatures another five degrees to the mid 50s.
Sunday afternoon through Monday is looking dry at this point, but we’ll see an even larger storm move in Tuesday and Wednesday. This will drop temps another few degrees and bring in heavier rain and mountain snow.
Have a great Thursday!
