The record breaking has begun! North Bend made it to 77° Tuesday, smashing their old record of 74° set in 1981 and this morning they made it to 81° by 10 a.m. breaking the previous record of 72 set in 1931.
The record high for Eugene today is 81°and in Roseburg the record high is 86°. We should easily break both of those.
High temperatures will top out in the mid 80s in the Valley, Upper 70s and low 80s at the Coast and upper 80s in the Umpqua Basin.
This ridge of high pressure will keep us warm, dry and mostly sunny through the end of the week, but temperature will start to fall Thursday at the Coast and Friday inland as winds begin to shift back on-shore and this ridge of high pressure begins to break down. It’s back to the 70s for Friday and 60s for the weekend in the Valley. Showers are likely to return by Sunday.
Have a great day and stay cool this week! ~Meteorologist Melissa Frey
