Red Cross Aids Family after Fire

EUGENE, Ore. — The Red Cross is helping a family whose home caught on fire Thursday morning in Eugene.

Four people and a dog were home when the fire broke out on Driftwood Drive. They all got out okay.

It took 15 firefighters about 15 minutes to get the fire under control. They kept it from spreading from the main living area, but it’s destroyed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
