Report Connects Illness, Herbicide Use

TRIANGLE LAKE, Ore. — Residents near Triangle Lake may have new evidence to prove a connection between illness and increased herbicide use.

Back in February 2011, a group gathered to protest spraying herbicide on neighboring forest land.

Now new documents have surfaced that show an increase in usage of the chemicals years before residents claimed getting sick. Federal and state investigators are looking into the reports.

More than 40 people living near Triangle Lake tested positive for herbicide in their urine.
