Residents Work to Keep Schools Open

ROSEBURG, Ore. — Roseburg citizens are working to keep their public schools open.

The Roseburg School Board will vote Wednesday night whether to put a levy on the May ballot.

The district has been struggling financially and is currently in the process of closing one or two elementary schools.

A levy advocated by a citizens committee could be one way to prevent that.
