Restaurants Help Raise Money for CASA

EUGENE, Ore. – With summer in full swing, so is the Court Appointed Special Advocates’, or CASA, annual Taste of Summer event.

The CASA organization works with abused and neglected children. Each year, the group works with local restaurants to either donate a percentage of their sales for a day, hold an event for CASA’s benefit, or donate gift certificate proceeds.

On Tuesday, Full City Coffee Roasters donated 100 percent of their sales.

“It’s really great that the community can get together for this casa fun. It’s been a tradition for us, for full city, to get together and help out casa and the children as well. And everyone is really excited,” said Stefani Kilmer, Full City Coffee Roasters Manager.

The next CASA event will be July 18 with Papa’s Pizza. Party Downtown and Red Wagon Creamery will host a joint event on July 24.
