Road Repair Starts on HWY 20

COBURG ROAD CONSTRUCTIONCORVALLIS, Ore. — Repair work will start in May on a ten-mile stretch of HWY 20 linking Corvallis and Newport.

The state picked a new contractor for the next phase of the road project that’s been plagued by landslides and delays.

The Oregon Department of Transportation selected the contractor with the lowest bid, just under $41 million.

The project is on track to meet the new target date of 2016.
