Rock Climber Seriously Injured in Fall

COOS BAY, Ore. — Oregon State Police rescued a rock climber Sunday afternoon after he from a cliff.

Troopers say the 39-year-old man was climbing at Golden and Silver Falls State Natural Area and fell 30 to 40 feet to the ground.

The man was seriously injured in the fall and taken by Life Flight to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend.

His name has not yet been released.
