EUGENE, Ore. — This year’s Eugene Pro Rodeo is looking to round up more people with a little change to the firecracker bull ride.
The event will take place Saturday night. This year instead of having one arena, there will be two. Rodeo Director Lisa Johnson says this will provide non-stop action for the Saturday night event.
The 2013 Miss Eugene Pro Rodeo Queen says the idea for the two arenas had an interesting beginning.
“Major Defoe is the owner of the rodeo grounds and Lisa Johnson, who is our rodeo director, went to the finals in Vegas and on a napkin, drew out the two-ring bull ride, and that’s where it all began,” said Angela Hurburt, 2013 Pro Rodeo Queen.
The two arenas will be on Saturday night only and the bull ride starts at 7:30 p.m.
