Police say the 16-year-old driver was headed west on Cal Young Road when he tried to make a right-hand turn at Gilham Road.
A witness says the driver didn’t seem to be speeding. Instead, he just clipped the curb, and never straightened out.
“The next thing I know he’s climbing up these guy wires right here, and his vehicle ends up pointing straight at the sky, suspended on the guy wires and then topples over,” said witness Paul Reader.
He says he was concerned because electrical wires were swinging, and the truck began leaking gasoline.
Police are investigating whether or not the driver was distracted.
