Romney Tops New Hampshire 2016 GOP Poll

romney(CNN) — Mitt Romney has said he’s not running again for president in 2016, but he’s already been pegged as an early favorite in the primary state of New Hampshire.

A Suffolk University/Boston Herald survey released Thursday, shows Romney as the Republican frontrunner with 24% support.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was a distant 2nd at 9%, followed by Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush.

Romney is, however, very well known in New Hampshire and easily won the 2012 Republican Primary there. He lost the state by 6% to President Obama in the general election.
