The school board voted Wednesday night to explore a bond levy that would help create crucial funding for the district.
It’s not on the May ballot yet. If it makes it there and is approved by voters, the district may not have to close a school this fall.
“If it’s on the ballot and it comes out in the election at the end of May, then at that time we’ll have the option of pulling a school closure off or continuing,” said Roseburg School Board Chair Steve Patterson.
The school board’s expected to decide whether to put the measure on the May ballot later this month.
