Roseburg Woman Found After Crash

CURRY COUNTY, Ore. — A Roseburg area woman is recovering after falling and spending a day and a half in the cold.

Elizabeth Welter’s family says she hadn’t been heard from in three days.

Wednesday, at about 3 p.m., they found her empty pickup over an embankment two miles east of Highway 101 in Curry County.

Deputies noticed an area that had been disturbed, about a mile down a small road. They found the 57-year-old, about 300 feet below. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, including hypothermia. They say she would not have survived the night.
