EUGENE, Ore. – Registration for the 2014 Safety Town opened Tuesday.
Safety Town is a two-week program that introduces pre-school children to safety topics including pedestrian, bicycle, school bus, poison, fire, gun, home and water safety. Children will learn safety through instructions, songs and hands-on activities.
Safety Town students will have an opportunity to explore a police car, police motorcycle, fire truck and school bus.
Camper registration is accepted on first come, first served basis. The registration deadline is June 1. To register click here.
Safety Town also provides the opportunity for teens 13-19 years old to volunteer as camp counselors. Teens will help the pre-kinder campers learn safety lessons, while learning leadership, team-building and job skills.
