Santa Gets Head Start on Christmas

EUGENE, Ore. — Santa got a head start on Christmas Wednesday at a local Head Start.

He and some of his helpers dropped off a mountain of socks and hats to the kids there.

The items were collected during Guaranty Chevrolet’s 8th annual sock and hat drive. Over those eight years, Guaranty employees and customers donated more than 12,000 pars of new socks and about 600 hats.

Any leftover socks and hats went to St. Vincent de Paul. It will give them to local families in need.
