School Celebrates Fundraising Success

EUGENE, Ore. — Madison Middle School has one big fundraising effort a year. This year, students raised more than $18,000.

In return, staff members honored several deals, including eating worms, wrestling in chocolate pudding, wearing pink, and going completely bald for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“You know a lot of our kids are touched by breast cancer. You know, I have three people in my family–one was not successful and two survivors–and it’s important that kids are aware of that,” said Scott Marsh, Madison Middle School Principal.

The money will be used to help pay for school programs and student field trips.
