This added security comes after two attempted abductions at the school in less than a month.
The contractors are working behind the school to close off areas that have been accessible to the public.
The district says it will also staff two security guards on campus until the fence is complete.
“If that guy ever comes back. I am happy that we have two security guards and a fence up,” said Scott Emerson.
“We are not too pleased with having it locked down,” said Troy Emerson. “It’s nice since its always been an open campus, scott’s been here since Kindergarten. It’s another case of having to give up some of our liberties for security, but we are not the first ones to face it so we will see how it all plays out.”
The fence should be completed by the end of this week or early next week.
