On March 17, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said it received a report that two of its Search and Rescue volunteers sexually abused a 17-year-old volunteer.
After the Keizer Police Department investigated, it arrested 33-year-old Casey Wenger and his wife, 33-year-old Rosa Wenger. Casey is being held at the Marion County Jail on charges of second-degree sex abuse and 30 counts of first-degree encouraging child sex abuse. Rosa is being held on charges of third-degree sex abuse and 20 counts of first-degree encouraging child sex abuse. They will be arranged Friday.
The sheriff’s office says the Wengers have been terminated as Marion County volunteers.
