Season of Change

EUGENE, Ore. — We spent most of 2013 in what’s nicknames a “La Nada” or neutral pattern.

It’s not especially wet or especially dry. But changes in seas surface temperatures and computer modeling indicate a shift to an “El Nino” pattern over the next six months.

Oregon Climate Service’s Deputy Director, Kathie Dello, explains what these changes would mean for us.
