EUGENE, Ore. — Thousands of U.S. citizens say they don’t want their states to be part of the United States anymore, including more than 10,000 Oregonians.
Groups in more than 30 states started petitions to the white house requesting to secede from the Union.
The Texas petition is one of the largest, at 60,000 signatures. Oregon’s has 12,000, though all signatures don’t appear to be from Oregon residents.
The petitions are real, but their results likely won’t be.
“It’s a way for them to express their frustration, disappointment, with the way things are going in this country. As far as how many, those who signed these petitions, who actually believe that it’s going to amount to anything, I don’t think there are many,” said Steve Candee, LCC Political Science Professor.
Each petition needs 25,000 signatures to be reviewed and replied to by White House staff.

Now we witness the true American.
Hateful, bigoted, selfish, prejudiced!
As so many negative persons from the
past that supported a loser; ‘get over it’.
