Senior Dinner Receives Donations

EUGENE, Ore. — The senior dinner will go on this week after receiving some last minute donations.

Organizers said one local businessman helped raise $3,000 after the dinner was short on donations. So far 500 seniors purchased tickets to attend the annual Christmas day dinner.

“We’re really thankful that we have community partners like Mr. Brown who really took that call and saw that need and really stepped up and helped us out we greatly appreciate it,” said Sydney Shook, Senior Holiday Dinner coordinator.

Organizers said there are still some last minute tickets available. They’re available for $7.50 a piece at the Campbell Senior Center and the Willamalane Senior Center.
