September Starts Out “Normal”

Meteorologist Melissa Frey’s Forecast Discussion:

Eugene’s average high temperature right now is 80°, but is dropping quickly. That average will drop to 79° as of September 7th. We hit 80° on the dot Monday and we’ll be about there Tuesday and Wednesday as well.

We’re in between low pressure to the west and high pressure to the east. This leaves us with fairly mild, typical early September weather. We’ll stay dry and mostly sunny Tuesday and Wednesday and highs will stay in the low 80s.

A larger area of low pressure will move in late Wednesday night. This will bring in a cooler air mass, rainfall and chances for thunderstorms across much of the state. Highs will fall to the mid 70s.

We clear out Friday and it’s back to summer like weather for the weekend!

Have a great Tuesday!
