Severe Weather Update (6 p.m.)

Here’s the latest from the Stormtracker 9 Weather Center:

– Strong thunderstorms moving NW into eastern Linn, Clackamas, Marion counties.

– Willamette Valley should see occasional light showers through 9-10 p.m. tonight. After that, mainly isolated sprinkles.

– Southern Douglas County seeing additional strong thunderstorms from Winston to Glendale. Frequent lightning strikes and hail likely.

– Central Oregon will have isolated thunderstorms fire for the next couple of hours only.

REST OF THE NIGHT: Conditions will improve across Western Oregon with light showers tapering off overnight, cloudy overall.

SATURDAY: More thunderstorms will fire in the afternoon and evening. Best locations will be again in the Central Cascades early afternoon with slight chances for isolated thunderstorms to move across the foothills.
