Sheldon High Raises Funds for Bike Racks

EUGENE, Ore. — Sheldon High School students were still short of their fundraising goal to get 70 new bike racks on campus, Monday.

Students with the school’s Green Club said the money for the first half of the project came quickly, but donations have slowed down since those first few days.

With about ten days left to raise the remaining money, the co-founder of Citizinvestor, the site the kids have been using to raise the needed funds, sent out an email in hopes of garnering more support.

“At Citizinvestor we’re trying to build a community that are empowered to invest in their community and I think this project is a really great example of that,” said Jordan Raynor.
