ShelterCare Begins Fundraising Campaign

EUGENE, Ore. — City leaders joined Tuesday morning to kick off the second annual I ShelterCare about Homeless campaign.

Bethel Public Schools Superintendent Colt Gill joined Springfield Mayor Christine Lundberg and Eugene Mayor Kitty Piercy in endorsing ShelterCare’s mission to raise $75,000 for 250 homeless families in need by the end of October.

“I’ve seen the faces of children and teens that needed to have someone help them out and so I appreciate so much that’s being done,” said Mayor Lundberg

Thrill the World, a dance troop, performed the thriller dancer as the finale. ShelterCare says it’s about half way to its goal.
