The campaign started on Oct. 1. The goal was to raise $50,000 to combat homelessness in Lane County, and the money would help 250 local families in need.
Springfield Public Schools Superintendent Nancy Golden unveiled the campaign’s final fundraising numbers, and it surpassed its goal, raising $50,465.
“The money will support an umbrella of services that we provide to families who come to us either because they’re at risk for homelessness and need counseling to families who are living here,” said Lucy Vinis, Development Director.
About 70 businesses and individuals contributed to the campaign.
