EUGENE, Ore. — A local home that gives adults with brain injuries a safe place to live got a makeover Tuesday.
A team of employees from Sherwin Williams volunteered their time to paint the exterior of ShelterCare’s Ulhorn Building on West 13th Avenue. Sherwin Williams also donated the paint and supplies.
ShelterCare says the new coat of paint is a great way to show its residents they matter.
“Having them come out for a project like this for one or two days makes us feel good and its wonderful for our clients to feel like they live in a beautiful home, just like we all need to live in a beautiful home,” said Lucy Vinis, ShelterCare Development Director.
The painting project also gave associates excellent training experience. They hope to finish the job by Wednesday.
